I'm not sure the exact terms of the buyout with the Knicks, but he'll only be playing for the minimum salary for Dallas, as they are over the cap. And with that in mind, Amare is GREAT value as an offensive big who can provide an extra scoring punch for a contender. While I don't think he's a piece that puts them over the top, he's certainly someone who can make an impact and potentially win a game for Dallas in the playoffs. That's a valuable piece off the bench.
