The Lakers let go of Pau Gasol. He was deemed to be soft. A lot of Lakers fans became frustrated of his play. Thus, he went to Chicago and the Lakers got Carlos Boozer. What's happened? Well, the Chicago Bulls are already Playoff worthy with Gasol giving some awesome numbers in points and rebounds. The Lakers? They're at the bottom of the pack.

Pau Gasol was once a well rounded player during his championship run with the lakers and Kobe Bryant. What the hell happened to him?

The big issue was D'antoni refused to use him correctly. He tried using Pau as a stretch big and just kept him out on the perimeter to shoot jumpers and didn't run the offense through him; where Pau excells greatly. That's what the Bulls are doing this year. They're giving Pau the ball in the high post and letting screens run off him and letting him find cutters to the rim. So I don't think it ever was a case of Pau losing his game or regressing; it was more a case of him being grossly misused by his coach in the wrong system.
