LeBron and Wade isnt a comparison anymore so it wouldnt really matter. However this thread got me thinking, if the Heat win this year, LeBron can't leave Miami. You just can't leave a team that you just won a ring with. He's staying in Miami until he loses.
If he was this great player top 10 or even top 5 like some crazy fans say why did he choke a 3-1 lead. Duncan led a mediocre cast to the championship in 03 why couldn't the "closest to jordan" do the same.
I read this earlier.
I will state this again, keep these type of stats for teams. I don't like +/- as it is for individuals because so many different things happen for certain team lineups, now this is just too much.
I think most would consider James already a positive on the floor regardless...
He's basically become Dubs version of Derrick Williams both play well when they are given extended mins starting and both turn to ghosts in smaller roles off the bench. They need to play with quality players around them to get them easy buckets than there confidents picks up and they can play...
Of course it's overrated. All of Kobe's scoring records are overrated. Let guys like Prime Tmac, Lebron, or Melo shoot the ball as much as Kobe did that year and they would score the same amount of points if not more. What makes that season the most overrated is that it culminated in Kobe...
I wanna say a couple of things about Dumars and GMs in general. Dumars started out pretty good. He had a good vision and hired some good coaches. He made a bonehead move with Darko but that could have happened to anyone. He later started on a downward spiral into absolute embarrassment and has...
Heat like to keep the worst player in the league (like Bibby a few years back) to balance things out with the greatest player in the league. Yin and Yang. That's their secret to success.
2000-01 is third on my list behind 2007-08 and 1989-90(I have watched a ton of games of that season the past couple of years and the play was just outstanding, so many great players playing at/near their peak).
Top 5
1. 2007-08
2. 1989-90
3. 2000-01
4. 2005-06
5. 1987-88
For me it has to be 2007-2008.
1. The return of the Celtics as a power house was fun to see.
2. Big time trades(Kidd to Dallas, Shaq to Phoenix, Gasol to LA)
3. Great individual play(Kobe, Lebron, Paul etc.)
4. Crazy ass Western Conference
5. So many memorable/meaningful games in the regular...
Well, Toronto was supposed to suck this year, and Cavs were supposed to be the 8th seed. At the end of the season raps are sitting at the 3rd seed while Cavs are in the lottery. DeMar overachieved while Kyrie underachieved big time. Plus DeMar is more durable and plays more defense than Kyrie...
Man of Steel #2?
Anyway, mine (just mainstream comic heroes, not graphic novels):
1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman Begins
3. X2: X-men United
4. X-men: First Class
5. X-men
(Iron Man and Winter Solider just miss the cut)
