Hello there!

[basketball newbie]

I'm a newbie in this site. I want to just learn more about basketball as I am also a newbie to the sport. I have been a fan though from the 80's but was cut short with relocations, work and family. So I know the basic rules. Recently, I got interested again in basketball when a group of 6-7-year-old boys were playing and I got the chance to 'mentor' them with the little that I know of the game. Like I know about traveling and whose team should have the ball when it goes out of the court.

Anyway, just hoping I will know more about the sport. In the process, I can possibly continue teaching the kids about proper basketball rules.

I also just joined the forum. My favorite team is the New York Knicks since the days of Patrick Ewing, Starks, Oakley and Mason. These past few seasons have been disheartening for sure but every franchise goes through ups and downs. I am glad to be here.
