Who will be the next franchise player of Dallas?

These past decade, it has always been Dirk Nowitzki. But he's getting old. He can no longer carry a team all by himself. He no longer is as explosive as he once was. Based on their current roster, do you see somebody to replace Dirk as the franchise player of the Maverics?

If you read the interview Cuban did last week the Mavericks intend too rebuild with Dirk as the centerpiece again and feel he has another five good years of winning left in him. I kind of agree that Dirk is getting a little old but he can still shoot and play the power forward position I think for a long time if he can stay healthy. Dirk has never been a defensive monster so as long a he can maintain his offensive skills I think this is the right move for the Mavs to make and it gives them time too find another franchise player.

Although I'm over a year late, I'll weigh my opinion on this topic to maybe revive this thread:

I feel that Chandler Parsons has the potential to become a franchise player. Although he seems like a drastic downgrade from Nowitzki, the guy can play his position with little flaws. As he gains more experience, he can bring out the potential that he has shown throughout his career with the Rockets. Heck, he's already showing potential with his recent games with the Mavs.

Overall, I feel like Parsons will be the franchise player. He just needs the correct tools, and Dirk could possibly even coach and help him with his shooting to perfect it.
